New to Mt. Juliet or just here for the day? One of the first questions I get from relocation clients is, “Where’s a good local coffee spot?”
While Mt. Juliet has plenty of the big-name chains like Starbucks, Dunkin, Panera, and Dutch Bros, there are also some great locally owned coffee shops that really give you a feel for the community. These are the spots I personally recommend when helping clients get familiar with the area.
Just Love Coffee Café
While you might recognize the name, the Mt. Juliet location is locally owned and operated by some truly great people. Just Love is known for serving up a solid cup of coffee, but what really sets it apart is the full breakfast menu. It’s a great spot to grab a bite, meet with friends, or even get some light work done.
Red Bicycle Coffee
You may have seen Red Bicycle locations around Nashville, but the Mt. Juliet location feels like a bit of a hidden gem. Tucked away in Vintage Station North behind the train station, it’s the kind of place you almost need a map to find — but it’s worth it.
Not only do they serve great coffee, but they also have a fantastic outdoor seating area, making it a perfect spot for a casual meeting or catching up with a friend.
Compassion Coffee

One of the newer additions to Mt. Juliet, Compassion Coffee is located on the north side of town and is quickly becoming a local favorite. In addition to great coffee, they offer sweet frappes, fresh bread, and a variety of baked goods. It’s a great option if you’re looking for something a little different or want to try a newer spot in the area.
Honorable Mention: Scooter’s Coffee (Quick & Easy Option)
If you’re in a hurry and just need a quick and affordable cup of coffee, Scooter’s is my go-to. Their drive-thru makes it incredibly convenient, and you can grab a small coffee for around $1, which is perfect for that mid-day pick-me-up.
Thinking About Moving to Mt. Juliet?
If you’d like more information on any of these coffee shops—or if you’re thinking about starting your home search in Mt. Juliet or the greater Middle Tennessee area—keep me in mind. I’d love the opportunity to help you get familiar with the area and find the right place to call home.
