Over the past few years, I’ve worked with a lot of relocation buyers, and Mt. Juliet consistently ends up at the top of the list for families. It offers a great balance of convenience, community, and everyday lifestyle that’s hard to beat.

1. Strong School Systems
One of the first things families look at when relocating is school zones—and Mt. Juliet is known for having some of the more desirable schools in the area.
That’s a big reason why so many buyers with kids gravitate toward this part of Wilson County. Even beyond the schools themselves, the neighborhoods tend to be built with families in mind—sidewalks, parks, and a strong sense of community all play a role.
2. Close Proximity to Nashville International Airport (BNA)
If you travel for work or have family flying in and out, this is a huge advantage.
Mt. Juliet is typically about 15–20 minutes from Nashville International Airport, which makes early flights, quick trips, or picking people up from the airport incredibly convenient.
For a lot of the relocation buyers I work with, this ends up being a deciding factor.
3. Easy Access to Downtown Nashville
You get the benefit of being close to the city without having to live in it.
Depending on traffic, you’re usually about 20–30 minutes from downtown Nashville, which makes commuting, events, or a night out very doable. At the same time, you’re able to come home to a quieter, more relaxed environment.
That balance is exactly what many buyers are looking for when they move to Middle Tennessee.
4. A True Community Feel
This is one of those things that’s hard to explain until you experience it.
Mt. Juliet still has that neighborhood feel where people know each other, kids are outside playing, and community events bring people together. Whether it’s local markets, school events, or just everyday interactions, there’s a sense that people are putting down roots here.
That’s a big shift from what many buyers are coming from—and it’s something they really value once they’re here.
5. Amenities + Continued Growth
Mt. Juliet has grown a lot, and with that growth has come a ton of convenience.
You’ve got shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, and everyday essentials all close by—especially in areas like Providence. At the same time, new communities and businesses continue to pop up, which keeps the area evolving.
